Swizzlers

Advanced Preschool 4 and 5 years

Selection for this class is by try-outs and invitational class only.
Swizzlers is a transitional class from our pre-school program to our invitational levels 1,2, and 3. Our classes are based on USAG Jr. Olympic Program and the GymCert coaches certification program.

This class continues on the foundation of gymnastics skill progressions including fine and gross motor skills, concentration on balance, flexibility and coordination as well as class and social interactions skills. Swizzlers expands on the basics to include motor skill combinations and more complex thinking skills, also building on strength and endurance and individual apparatus skills in gymnastics. There is an increased excitement as this class also transitions from the preschool area and preschool sized equipment to the “big” gym and regulation equipment whenever appropriate. The class atmosphere is FUN!

Dazzlers

Level 1 (4 years and up)

Selection for this class is by try-outs and invitational class only.
Level 1 is our beginning recreational gymnastics class. Our classes are based on the USAG Jr. Olympic Program and the GymCert coaches certification program. The emphasis of Level 1 is on building basic skills on bars, beam, vault and floor through proper progressions, increasing strength and flexibility, and enhancing social skills through a fun and challenging curriculum

Firecrackers

Level 2 (5 years and up)

Selection for this class is by try-outs and invitational class only.
Successful completion of Level 1 gymnastics or for those who can already perform a cartwheel, pullover and handstand. Mastery of specific Level 1 skills are required to advance to Level 2. Our classes are based on the USAG Jr. Olympic Program and the GymCert coaches certification program.
A coaches recommendation is required for advancement to this level. Specific skills include, but are not limited to, forward and backward rolls, cartwheels, bridge ups, back walkovers, proper arm circles and board approaches to the vault and a pullover and back hip circle on the bars.

Shooting Stars

Level 3 (5 years and up)

Selection for this class is by try-outs and invitational class only.
This is the Platinum Gymnastics Academy’s exhibition team. They will have various performances throughout the year at basketball, parades, school assemblies, etc. These Level 3 gymnasts train modified Level 4 routines to prepare them for the transition to the competitive team.

Our classes are based on the USAG Jr. Olympic Program and the GymCert coaches certification program. Our Level 3 team competes in 2-3 “mock” meets (In-house) and quite possibly,1-2 USAG qualifiers and State to prepare them for a full Level 4 season. Training consists of more difficult skill development, strength, conditioning and attention to detail as it pertains to shapes and positions. The gymnast must be at least 5 years old to be on the Level 3 team and selection is based on the coach’s discretion.

Alternative Schedule

Priced per class based on availability. Call one day prior to schedule. $15 per hour prorated for individual class time. ($15 – 45 minutes to 1 hour, $22.50 – 90 minute class, $30 – 2 hour class)
